This small garden in Putney offers a comfortable and relaxing environment with a crisp, contemporary look. Rendered raised beds with olive trees and mixed under-planting provide a main focal point. Natural cleft slate paving and basalt paving combine to create a tonal floor surface. The horizontal-slatted timber screening not only adds warmth but also neatly hides the large shed at the back of the garden. It also provides a smart contrast to the pale colouring of the walls, newly painted and clad with Western Red Cedar battens. The entertaining space in front of the timber screening features a cozy rattan sofa , coffee table and armchairs. Lighting gave the space an appealing evening character.
Landscaping works were also added to the font garden, which included paving works, a new wall with new railings with gate, and a metal storage for bikes. To integrate with the look of the street, red bricks in Leicester red colour were used for the front wall. The new railings and gate, both designed and installed by the Garden Builders, gave the front of the property an attractive traditional look.
