Green Wall Planting
Planting is a vital part of the green wall ethos, changing barren and sterile spaces into green and lush environments.
The vertical implementation of the plants creates interesting and textural visual effects. Plant habits change in comparison to traditional horizontal planting. The leaves turn upwards or arch out and downwards or begin to trail. Selecting the right plants is important for a successful scheme and for creating different visual effects. It is important to remember that the plants will reflect aspect, like exposure to sun and to wind and must be selected in accordance to the location and conditions of the green wall location.
