Fountains & Bubble Jets
Fountains can look amazing in private gardens. Splashing water, from fountain jets, grabs attention and creates a dramatic spectacle and can help by mask surrounding noises. Fountains and bubbling jets can be included within small or large ponds or constructed raised ponds. Water can be sourced from higher level areas to power a fountain or water can be brought in to the area with a sophisticated pumping pipework. The possibilities for fountains include:
• vertical water jets, single or multiple
• inclined water jets, single or multiple
• dancing water jets
• frothing water columns
• bubble fountains
• dripping fountains
• waterfalls
• water channels & rill features
• sculpture fountains
Fountain heads/nozzles contain quite complex wiring and can also contain lighting. Sophisticated pipework carries water to the fountain heads and then drainage nearby collects waste water and re-circulates. Fountain water jets can range in height and can be operated at heights of up to 3m high. The water running through the fountain jets is required to be crystal clear, like the standard of a swimming pool. This requirement means installing a nearby
filtration plant and water reservoir. The paving that surrounds the fountain jets should be considered carefully due to the excessive water in the area and possible slipping hazards.
