Raised ponds are generally built above ground level and, predominantly constructed from poured concrete or pre-cast blocks. Walls are built to the required height and finished off with a cladding of some sort ie. tiling, smooth pointed or rendered brick work. Raised ponds are generally easier to keep clean than ground level ponds. The design advantage of raised ponds is that they can be built to a height suitable to incorporate attractive and functional seating around the edge.
